What is All-on-4?
All-on-4 is a dental implant technique that replaces all the teeth in one jaw with a full bridge screwed onto four implants. The two front implants are straight and the two back implants are tilted, which makes the most of the available bone and often avoids a bone graft.
The prosthesis is fixed: it does not come out like a denture. It restores efficient chewing, a complete smile and support for the lips and cheeks.

The choice is made after a 3D scan of the jaw. The implant dentist assesses bone quantity and quality, bite force and the condition of the opposite jaw.
Who is All-on-4 for?
- a jaw with no teeth left, with or without a denture;
- remaining teeth that are badly damaged or loose and cannot be saved;
- an unstable or poorly tolerated denture;
- reduced bone that would make one implant per tooth difficult.
Some situations need extra care: poorly controlled diabetes, heavy smoking or certain bone medications. When healthy teeth remain, veneers or crowns may be more suitable.
Treatment in two trips
First trip: about 5 to 7 days
3D scan, extractions if needed, implant placement under local anaesthesia or sedation, then a fixed temporary bridge, usually within 24 to 72 hours. You fly home with fixed teeth.
Healing: 3 to 6 months
The implants fuse with the bone (osseointegration). You wear the temporary bridge and follow a soft diet at first.
Second trip: about 5 to 7 days
The custom final prosthesis is fitted, in reinforced resin or zirconia, with bite adjustment.
A good All-on-4 is judged over time: implant position, prosthesis fit and regular maintenance matter as much as the day of placement.
Recovery and maintenance
- First days: swelling and tenderness, relieved by painkillers; soft food for a few weeks.
- Hygiene: careful brushing, interdental brushes and a water flosser to clean under the bridge.
- Check-ups: a yearly visit with professional cleaning, with your dentist at home or on a return trip to Turkey.
What are the risks?
Infection, an implant failing to integrate, inflammation around the implants (peri-implantitis) with poor hygiene, and fracture of the temporary bridge. The implant success rate in Turkish clinics reaches 98%, but it also depends on maintenance.
